Kayla Brown has spent 12 years in multifamily, and the last five of them as Director of Learning and Development at Aura Living. She started her career as a Community Manager in the Portland and Vancouver, Washington markets, where she built firsthand expertise in operations, culture, and the people side of property management. That ground-level experience now shapes everything she designs.

Kayla leads all organizational learning events and facilitates associate onboarding through the first 90 days and beyond. She curates customized content, partners with regional and senior leaders to build genuine buy-in from learners at every level and manages the company intranet. She also develops and maintains SOPs, oversees professional development programming, and supports operations through system and technology implementation, including transitions for incoming and outgoing communities across the portfolio.

Her L&D background extends beyond multifamily. Before joining Aura Living, she brought more than a decade of learning design experience from customer service and sales environments in global telecommunications, giving her a broad perspective on what it takes to move people from trained to capable.

Her approach is simple: understand what motivates each person and connect it to what the organization needs. At Aura Living, that philosophy drives culture, strengthens the team, and creates an environment where both people and communities perform.
